AVG Link Scanner: Check for potentially harmful links even before you navigate
AVG has a been a pioneer in providing security solutions to both home and enterprises. One of the best part about AVG is that it has it’s free software which in true sense is free with no costs attached. Installation
- Download AVG LinkScanner by clicking here.
- Once you have downloaded the AVG LinkScanner, double click the setup file to install it. Make sure you have admin rights on your machine.

I am not too keen on sending information to AVG mother servers and hence I deselected it.

I wasn’t interested in having Yahoo as my default search engine.

It’ll not take too much of time to update so make sure you update the scanner.

You can choose to register it if you want.
Functionality
Post installation I started my browser (Firefox) and was welcomed with a screen like the one below:

Again I did not choose to have yahoo as my default search engine. Feel free to do so if you want to.
