I recently had trouble playing a mpeg file on my Symbian 60 3rd edition phone. The built in real player doesn’t support corelogosmallmpeg format and the videos i wanted to play were in mpeg format. Though a simple solution is to convert the files using any convertor to formats supported by real player , but i didn’t wish to convert every damn video to different format.

I came across numerous players for mobile which could play multiple formats , but I still couldn’t find one player that could play mpeg , divx, flv etc formats in a single player. Then I came across this player - Core Player. This players was the one which supported all the formats I actually wanted a player to play.

Core Player is a light audio \video player for mobile ( Also a version for computers) which plays easily plays a number of formats. Companies like Joost are using this player on a huge scale. Chicago Suntimes says : “ it actually has a user interface designed with bipeds in mind”. A few features of the player  :

Overall I found it to be a great player which apart from playing multiple formats has numerous options like altering speed , orientation, shuffle list, equalizer, colour variation, video sequencing, rotation etc. and more. Definitely worth a try.
