toolsI hate it when the boot time of my Windows partition goes up. In most cases it is because of some program that I don’t want to boot up during startup registers itself to startup program list. Now if you did not know there is an easy way to manage the what program start at boot. This can be achieved by using native startup handling application in Windows 7 called as msconfig.

However, there’s a much easier way of handling this and to avoid problems which could occur because msconfig exposes you to lot many options that you might not understand and end up messing around. So resorting to a third party tool in this case is a good option. We will look at one such application called as free startup manager.

Startup Manager is a program that provides you the possibility to manage the Windows startup procedure. It offers you the possibility to control which programs automatically start up and more. This allows the user to disable unwanted programs which automatically start after the boot, in many cases spyware and other harmful applications thus making the startup procedure more efficient and faster.

Once you have installed and when you run the program, the interface is pretty self expalnatory to manage your startup. This is pretty handful if you see a malware application which keeps launching itself at startup and your efforts to get rid off it using msconfig is in vain. Using startup manager you can delete such application without further ado.
