Google Wave till now has been a concept which eludes many of the tech citizens. It is still perceived with certain sense of complexity. The whole world of bots and extensions has been a bit tough for people to understand and use in day to  day working. For those who have been using Google wave for a significant amount of time have been faced with difficulties in finding the extensions. Google now comes out with a new gallery for Google Wave extensions.

Till now there was no one place to find all the extensions for Google Wave. Even inserting a gadget was not that simple. For many, the new gallery introduced by google will come as a welcome addition to the Wave. It is basically a collection or a stop place with different Waves with each containing a single extension with its description and installer.

Using Extension Gallery

1. Notice “Extensions” link to the Google Wave navigation panel that gives you quick access to a set of fun and functional featured extensions for waves. Click on the link to view the gallery.

2. You’ll see the list of all extensions in the gallery. This is the list of waves with each having one extension. with description of each extension alongside. Choose from the list of extensions.

3. After choosing the extension , click on install so as to incorporate the extension in your wave.

4. Use the extension in your new wave and add your friends to the wave to share it with them.

The extension gallery currently contains only a few popular extensions which have been tested by Google, and some of the ones — such as Bloggy, the blogging robot — demonstrated at the Google I/O event, when Google Wave was introduced, are absent as they are not “ready for prime time”.

Google Wave is an amazing technology, but it is yet to become a tool for the masses. Google will have to promote it better and simplify it for it to be really popular. If Wave is to be the future of communication it will need to be more intuitive to use. If one has to read a tutorial to be able to fully use the tool, it surely needs some modification so as to make it appealing for people to use. It is to be seen if Wave actually become the future of communication.
