How to be able to play video games (Mario,Contra etc) on mobile phone
Remember those wonderful days of playing ever entertaining games like Mario,Contra,Ice Climber, Road Racer and so on….Feel like going back memory lane?Wish to immerse in the joy of playing them all over again?What if I say I play them on my cell phone everyday, tempted…?Yes just a few steps to follow and you too can play them anytime,anywhere on the move on your own cellphone.
For this you need a cell phone which supports java applications and even better if it is symbian based.You might have seen people playing these games on computer.What one needs is an emulator which can play the files of these games.What we need is an emulator for the OS of our cell phone.
For Symbian there are many emulators ,which I use is vNES emulator (Follow link for trial version)
For a java supporting phone, NESCUBE is a nice option.
This takes care of the software to play games,but we do need the actual game files.These are ROMs which are used to play these games.The emulator loads these ROMs and is hence play games.These ROMs are freely available on the net.
Steps to follow :
1. First we need to obtain .sis for symbian (or .sisx for higher versions) or .jar file of the required softwares(vNES,NESCUBE).
2.Install the software in your cell phone.

3.Copy ROMs to your cell phone. For symbian phone (using vnes) copy the files to
File manager->memory card->data->others->vNes

4.Run vNES.It’ll show all the saved files.Now you are ready to play all those fantastic games.Also you have the option of
Save game, Load game,sound settings,keypad assignment etc.

Now you are all set to experience the thrilling world of video games all over again.Njoy!
