If you knew the location anf probably the service provider of the number ,you might be able to know the caller? or on roaming you wish to know the service provider and the location of the caller? Here is small ,light application which lets you know all this information.

Mobile Phone Info is very light application created by an individual developer. This application helps you to find the service provider of any phone number you wish to know. Also gives you the information about the location of that number. You just need to type in the number and it will display both results in an instant. It takes the information from the HLR( Home location register) of the phone number stored at the database of the service provider. So the information with the provider is relayed to you.

The application is a ‘.jar’ application and thus can be installed on any java enabled phone. It is not symbian dependent and is available for any phone with java capabilities. This application might be useful for many and one may find different uses of the information.
