Reduce start up and load time of firefox by loading tabs progressively
If you have a habit of opening up multiple tabs at a time while browsing using firefox, you might have experienced firefox taking a lot of time loading these tabs. It is irritating to wait long for firefox to load these tabs. The time taken is less if the number of tabs is small but if the the tabs are greater in number then even the start up time of firefox is quite a lot while opening saved tabs. You can use a firefox addon to reduce the time taken by firefox to load these tabs.
The add-on Load Tabs Progressively tries to remove this difficulty by loading the tabs in batches. It lets you load the tabs one after another. It will limit the number of concurrent loading tabs and/or unread loaded tabs, so that you can browse without any problems. It can be configured to load a certain number of tabs at a time ( in a batch ). For example, you can select 3 tabs to be loaded at the same time. the remaining tabs will be loaded when one of these tabs have been loaded fully. Firefox will load all tabs progressively until they are all loaded.
Performance can be increased considerably by users who use a lot of tabs at a time. The loading time of the tabs is reduced. Also, the startup time of firefox when opening saved tabs.
For users regularly troubled with loading times of multiple tabs should give this add on a try.
