Many a times one wishes to access the desktop items again and again and has to minimize or close all the windows to get to the desktop to access the items or one has to use the keyboard shortcut. Now with DeskMenu, there is no need to do the above said tasks.

It provides an easy means to restore order amongst the ranks of your music files. With an uncomplicated interface it provides all necessary functions and batch processing capabilities and does not require anything more on the user end.

1. From the start of the software you’ll have to choose among 2 modes – ‘View & Edit” or ”Alter Multiple Files at Once.”

2. Next in the step is to load the files that are to be processed. ( only mp3 files )

3. If the selected file already packs some information, it will be displayed in the main window of Moo0 Mp3InfoEditor so you can check it and add more details where necessary.

It can read and write using over 40 character sets like UTF-8, Central European, Chinese Simplified and Traditional or Western. This is very useful especially if the encoding for the embedded details is in a less common format or you need to make it as such. The read and write char sets are interchangeable, thus making possible hundreds of combinations.

4. Next step is to edit the various fields containing the MP3 information. Here there are seven sections such as song title, performing artist , name of the album, year of release etc .

5. When all information is filled. Click ‘Apply Changes’. All changes are made to the file now.

You can check the changes by viewing properties of the file in the explorer or by playing the file in one of the players.

Overall it is a great tool for easy alteration of file info. Also its capability to handle multiple files at once is of great use. But one the minus points is that it lacks in some of the features which may have been included for change like ratings etc. Still on the whole an interesting tool and useful tool to use.

Stickies is a simple application designed to serve a purpose, it doesn’t support animation not would you find eye catching graphics with it. Its simply a rectangular window on the screen on which you can place text notes. Once created the text notes will stay with you till the time you take them of. Thus whenever you log on to the machine you would be reminded of the pending work

Installation is pretty simple and would not take more than a minute or so.

After the installation you can start adding your own to do things or the thhings you need to remember on the stickies. It would look like the sample screen shot shown below.

The next image shows the various options  that are provided with this application. These include changing the color, the opacity of the notes and many other options. The most useful one according to me is the ability to set an alarm reminding you for a particular task or job that needs to be done.

I admit this application is not flashy or something out of this world. But it certainly has a lot of functional usage. So feel free to try this small and simple application.
