In our earlier article we listed the new features of the iPhone OS 4. Apple has paid attention to most of the customer grievances and incorporated features which were most required by the users. But still, could they have incorporate more features ? Have they missed out again on important user demanded features. Here is alook at some of the popular features Apple missed out on again :

Built in photo editing : One can get 3rd party application for photo editing capabilities on iPhone. It would have been nice to have a built in photo editing application in the iPhone.

Mass Storage mode : It would have been good if it would have been easier to transfer files from computer to the phone. Drag and drop of files should have been enabled so as to enhance file transfer mechanism rather than using 3rd party app for the same.

Audio Profile : It would have been really beneficial had they incorporated a number of audio profiles for different environments that one could easily switch between.

Flash support in Safari : A lot has been said and written about it , and it is unfortunate that it could not have been possible in this new edition of the iPhone OS.

FM Radio : In many segments of society, it was demanded a lot, but it was quite certain that it was not going to featured in the new OS.

Wi-Fi Syncing : It would have been useful if one could sync or back up our information on the iPhone over Wi-Fi instead of having to plug in our USB cable.

Printer Support : It was also wished that iPhone provide some sort of printer support, which would have been helpful in printing documents, pictures and notes.

Multiple Notification Bar : Now this is due to comparison with Android, there is a notification area where one can see all recent notifications, like new messages and voice mails. It would have been great to see them on iPhone as well.

We hoped some of these features would be introduced in this new OS but now we can hope for some of them introduced in the next update.

Lenovo has come up with first ARM based first ever smartbook device. Smartbooks are smaller than Netbooks, running custom OSes and miniature smartphone processors. With Lenovo coming up with an ARM based smartbook , the market is opening up for the devices.

Skylight is technically an oversized smartphone. The Skylight is powered by 1.8 GHz Snapdragon processor, with built in WiFi and 3G mobile broadband. the advantage of using a low-powered ARM-based chip is long battery life: 10 hours, so Lenovo claims.

Its 10.1-inch HD screen offers 1280 by 720 resolution. Despite of being as light weight as 1.95 pounds, the device is sturdy and firm. The device offers 2 USB (1 in a strange flip-jack form), SD and micro-SDHC card slots, a SIM card slot, and even mini-HDMI. 20 GB of flash memory are included, plus 2GB of Lenovo cloud storage. The keyboard is comfortable with roomy keys, so those fearing the smaller size of the book would not face any difficulty with typing.

The Skylight comes with 18 web gadgets, covering what most of the internet has to offer and that is popular over the net including Amazon’s MP3 store, GMail and Google Maps, Facebook, Firefox and more.

The price at which Lenovo has placed this smartbook is a bit daunting may compel customers into second thought about buying the device. The Skylight will retail for $500. Challenge is to find the right market for the product. Let us see if the smartbook trend will be short lived or can they revolutionize the way you perceive your netbook.
