SoftPerfect Network Scanner is a free multi-threaded IP, NetBIOS and SNMP scanner with a modern interface and several advanced features. The program pings computers, scans for listening TCP ports and displays which types of resources are shared on the network (including system and hidden).

In addition, it allows you to mount shared folders as network drives, browse them using Windows Explorer, filter the results list and more. After Starting up NetScan, either specify the IP range in which you want to search for the computers or other option is to ‘Auto Detect’ the IP range. NetScan automatically searches for the IP range if you are logged on to some LAN, so this option is very useful when one doesn’t know the exact IP range of the LAN one is logged onto.

As you click ‘Start Scanning’ , it gradually starts searching for the computers and shows all the nodes in the display screen. You can see which users have shared their data.

Also you can easily browse the systems of users who have shared some data on the LAN.
