Being a blogger also means that on time to time basis I have to do some code writing and few tricks with photoshop (I suck big time at both of them but I like to give it a try). This means that I am in constant search for sites which can help me with the so called Tutorials on how to implement some CSS tricks or create a web 2.0 banner.

Google is a good resource and so are my feeds. But sometimes I wish I only had one site dedicated to all such tutorials. No doubt that there are such sites. But they have a very traditional focus as they try to teach you and fail to offer you smart ways of getting in and getting out. I must however say that PSDTuts is a great site for tutorials dedicated to Photoshop and is so called smart if I were to define the way it offers services.

Enough of weasling! The point I am trying to make is that I want a service like TutSearch. TutSearch has a handpick collection of sites which are best resources for tutorials and uses Google search to give you results of the tutorial you are looking for. It boasts of having over 100 handpicked tutorial site in it’s database to serve it’s user.

I think that thought is very exciting. However, it fails at the core because it uses googles custome search. I thought there was a better way of making money with such a wonderful idea. It could have used native search and then displayed Google ads. I just did not like TutSearch using Google custome search to do the job.

All in all a good concept though!
